Detroit, MI (August 2, 2026) – A woman was killed after being struck by a passing vehicle on the M-8 Davison Freeway near Oakland Avenue in Detroit early Thursday morning, July 30.
The Michigan State Police reported the collision around 12:21 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Davison Freeway. The victim, who was from Detroit, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they are still working to determine why the woman entered the freeway. The incident remains under investigation.
