How Can Photos and Videos Help After a Car Accident in Detroit, MI?
Photographs and videos taken after a Detroit, MI, car accident can provide valuable evidence when determining how a collision occurred. Images captured at the scene may help document vehicle positions, roadway conditions, traffic signs, weather, skid marks, debris, and visible damage before the scene changes or vehicles are removed.
If it is safe to do so, drivers and passengers may also photograph license plates, insurance information, and any visible injuries. Video footage from dash cameras, nearby businesses, or traffic cameras may offer additional details about the events leading up to the crash and can sometimes clarify disputed facts.
Copies of photographs alongside the police report, medical records, repair estimates, witness information, and insurance correspondence may help create a complete record of the incident. Organized documentation can make it easier to communicate with insurance companies and preserve evidence while the claim is being reviewed.
The evidence needed after a Michigan vehicle accident may vary depending on the circumstances of the collision, the losses involved, and the insurance issues being reviewed.
