Detroit, MI (August 29, 2026) – A person was killed on Friday afternoon, August 28, after a silver Kia SUV and a mini-bike were involved in a crash near Chandler Park Drive and Dickerson Street in Detroit. The collision was reported around 1:20 p.m.
The crash was initially reported as a hit-and-run. The silver Kia reportedly had damage to its driver’s side and was last seen traveling southbound on Dickerson Street from Chandler Park Drive.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and evidence technicians were dispatched as part of the fatal crash investigation. No information about the identity of the person who died was immediately available.
