Detroit, MI (June 27, 2026) – An Uber driver and a passenger were hospitalized after the driver lost consciousness and crashed into a parked car and two garages in Detroit. The crash occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, near Margareta Street and Grandville Avenue.
As stated by the police, the driver had just picked up the passenger and was attempting to drop them off when he lost consciousness, causing his foot to press the accelerator and the vehicle to speed forward uncontrollably. The vehicle struck a parked car before crashing through two garages.
