Detroit, MI (July 25, 2026) – Two Detroit police officers were injured after a crash while they were responding to a call early Saturday morning, July 25. The collision happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fenkell Avenue and Schaefer Highway.
Police said another driver failed to yield at a red light and turned in front of the officers’ vehicle. The driver was arrested on suspicion of operating under the influence and transported to a hospital.
The officers were also taken to a hospital for treatment and were later released.
Authorities said charges are pending, and the crash remains under investigation.
