Detroit, MI (July 19, 2026) – A severe motorcycle accident on westbound Interstate 94 on Sunday, July 19, resulted in multiple critically injured patients and a vehicle fire. Police, fire, and multiple medical units responded to the highway segment between John R Street and the Interstate 75 interchange.
Firefighters arrived to find the motorcycle fully engulfed in flames and quickly extinguished the fire. Emergency medical personnel reported that two people suffered critical injuries and were transported to a regional trauma center for emergency treatment.
Authorities have not released the victims’ identities or updated their medical conditions. Investigators have also not provided additional information about the other vehicles involved.
